Hello and welcome to the video on Photoshop. The video shows a short tutorial on how to make a cool wallpaper using Photoshop CS5. The video is really good and makes easier to understand various concepts on Photo shop. The tutorial also explains basic concepts of Photoshop CS5.

Okay hello you tube, today I am gonna show you how to make a wall paper it looks like this I mean it looks very great. I saw a tutorial but it was in German but it was bit hard to follow so I decided to make one in English. So the first thing you need to do is open Photoshop I am using CS5 but CS4 work as well because the procedure is exactly the same. Now I go to file, new and name you can leave whatever you want I name it background and then I am gonna set width and height equal to my desktop resolution. Ammm make sure you make it your resolution that looks best so 1000 to 180 by 100 set the color mode to RGB color and 8 bit hit ok.

Okay now you need to color the background into black so choose the paint bucket tool and make sure the font color is black and simply click ok that colors it black. Okay now we need to enter bit of text so we simply click the text tool and make the color bright color so it makes it easier to see what you are doing so I am gonna make it like orange color like this one if you like it you can select exactly the same the code is ffc000 so hit ok and type in whatever text you want I am gonna type in you tube, you tube okay choose the font as to be as thick as possible. So ammm make the font as thick as possible, I downloaded the font called terminator real it looks pretty good but you can choose for example ammm cooper standard that’s look very good or any other similar font.

So I am gonna select terminator a terminator real you can download it online, its not hard to find it simply Google it. Okay now you gonna align ammm, so I am just gonna choose my font color the black I need to align the text with the background to make it everything in the center so simply control click on this one and on the background and the you go to this like icon here and this one icon here and that aligns it perfectly in the center. Okay now did you done this you need to make a new layer, go to filter, go to render and clouds and now you it should look something like this. You can go to filer clouds again or simply hit ctrl f to change it until u find one you like okay this looks pretty good or lets see okay okay this looks pretty good you simple find the one you like and stick to it.

Okay now you go to filter ammm filter, sketch and chrome okay and a little window should pop up looks like this. You can experiment with as long as you like but I found the best look for me is when I put the detail on 5 and smoothness on 6 so I am just gonna hit ok and you should end up with something like this. Simply ammm click on the layer go to this little menu here and select a color dodge ok and it should appear like nothing but it’s not true we will see later you go back to your text right click on it and select a duplicate layer so I am gonna name it you tube copy, ok now right click again and go to Resterize Type. Now you did this, you need to make 3 copies of it simply click on layer and hit ctrl J, 3 times for 3 copies so now you go to copy number 2, or actually the first copy you made and go to filter blur and motion blur okay now set the angle to 0 and the distance to whatever u like m gonna leave it 120 may be make it 130 a little bit bigger 150 okay 150 looks good hit ok.

Then go to copy number 3 go to same thing filter a blur and motion blur now set the angle to 45 degrees and leave the distance same as it was before hit ok and go to last copy go to filter, blur, motion blur and set the angle to negative so -45 degrees and hit ok. Now you will be showing up something like this. Now you need to blend all these layers into 1 so simply click on copy number 4 and hit ctrl D ammm sorry ctrl E ok ctrl E again and ctrl E again so now do not the text so it does not appear here. Okay now you have everything on one layer okay now go to filter, go to blur and go to this guassian blur, I don’t know how to read this okay and now u choose it whatever you want it goes you see it makes like this spread or I don’t know how to name.
You choose how large it should be so you can go to like to 250 pixels that looks something like one second something like this it’s not bad but I don’t like it. For example that is like 80 or 90 may be 100 pixels. Let’s say 85, 86. 2 okay hit ok. okay now you need to pull this layer beneath your text layer so simply click and drag it beneath your text layer and over your background layer. Now turn on text again ok now you need to change the color of text to black so select your text tool and simply a mark the text and change the color to black now you can see it better. Okay now as you done this you go to right click on your text layer and go to blending options okay here you have stroke so you select stroke and I am gonna choose a white stroke around it and 3 pixel in size that’s look pretty good, go to Barrels and Ambrose okay and then you put the depth, the technique to choose is hard the depth all the way up so to 1000 and now I select the size how big you want it, I will make it too big or just do what you like and then if you want to soften it up I like it to look, I I like it when it looks like this like rough edges okay and hit ok.

One thing I forgot to say as you go to layer called you tube copy ammm you go to image, adjustments and go to hue and saturation and now you can change the color to whatever you like. So for you tube I am gonna choose like a red color because I think it looks really really sleek okay wait wait a second okay hold this is to red no actually, actually its look good ok now you choose the saturation what amount of color you like from red ammm to as you like it okay this looks good and the lightness so it should be light, it should be dark whatever you like it I think this looks pretty good okay. Now go back to your text and simply put the capacity little bit down to I don’t know just put it down until you get the until you get it just a way like it I am gonna put it around 7% I think it looks pretty good. Okay and that’s it simply go to file, go to save as, ammm type in whatever you want I am gonna type in ammm you tube wallpaper and save it and jpeg format and simply hit the save button. Okay I am gonna put the quality on maximum hit ok and this is it so this is the new one I made so simply set it as desktop background okay you can see it is little different but it’s not a big change. So you can do whatever you want, but I made my nick name and it looks pretty amazing, it looks something like this and well that’s it for now I hope I can make few more videos on how to make cool wallpapers and please write comments and see you later bye!

Hello and welcome to a great video on Photoshop. The video is about Photoshop tutorial on 2 different styles of starburst. The tutorial teaches two different styles in Photoshop. The video is really great and helps to understand the concepts of Photoshop.

Hello you, hello ladies and gentlemen, hello wow that’s sounds amazing. Hello can hear and welcome to this Photoshop tutorial on 2 different styles of starburst. So I will show you the 2 different styles we will be doing one style is this one which I prefer more. Also it will look like that also whatever you wanna do with it and this one I also like but this is moreover cartoon effects that I like as much but it’s s good and also go in more in depth in them and show you different styles and different ways you can do things with them. Alright so let’s get started. So, for the first style we gonna wanna go to new and if you wanna follow with me you will go to 1600 width and 1800 height. Alright now you are gonna wanna choose your foreground and background color. So, whichever color you want to be in the background will be the first color you choose and whichever in the front will be the second. So, I will go with that again and then just go and grab something darker like that. So now what you want is go to gradient tool and instead of the top and hold shift and go down to the very bottom and nice you think really great and you can do it without the shift key holding straight.

So now, you have that unlock the layer you know really need to do but I like to do that. Then go to filter ammm distort and wave so if you following the way am doing it well you gonna need to do is at the top 999 and then wavelength minimum is 71 max is also 71 and then amplitude minimum is 34 max is 34 and then scale everything 100 percent. And make sure it does not repeat around edge pixels are repeating because I mean. Sign and press ok. So there you go and probably like what, it is the starburst or may be not I don’t really know. But what you do now is you go to do distort again and you go to polar co-ordinates. And you change the layer to polar you put ok. And there is your first style of starbust.

Now if you, if you don’t want just to be like this then have it in the very centre, where you can do is you can oh oh what you can do is you can copy it where you go over with it or you press Ctrl A to select it all. Then copy it make a new one but make this one smaller say 1000 by 1000, press ok. Now you can paste in there and it will be to too big so you can kind of put it in the corner or like appear wherever you want to be. So that’s how you do that if you don’t want to be right in the centre. Alright, so I will just clear this because this is the right size. Ok so for the other effect this one what you do is you can make 1000 X 1000 like I did or not whatever your choice is. For this one it doesn’t really matter at all what you do because all will work out, whatever way you do it.

So you’ve got filter you store it and then you wave again except this time make randomize ohh crab. Okay so this time you go and set to white and then give background black. You necessarily need to that and but you can if you want you can choose different colors but that’s the easy way to doing it. As with these two now hold shift again to do the same gradient thing, and you go to filter, distort wave but instead of putting in this straight lines this time, click randomize. Okay never mind and I can randomize so just change your wavelength to the lowest no, okay keep your minimum all the way down to 1 and your max somewhere around 100 may be 110 then amplitude your around 34 -34 and then maximum horizontal and vertical and then again repeat around edge pixels and sign, then click randomize that’s okay. That’s not exactly how I did last time first one you randomize, it’s different every time.

Now you go to polar co-ordinates again, click ok and there is your starburst, see it looks little different, you can modify however you want. So there is your basic starburst, now if you want to change color at all on this press new layer check the layer under it, and then whatever you color you want, select here say green because that’s we did last time paste it and then go to the starburst layer and if you want background to be of different color go to screen, and then you have a white thing in the center. I think that doest look like grey so what I do is hard light and I think this look amazing. So that’s all it’s a simple effect I taught how to do 2 different styles.

So, thanks for watching this tutorial come here and subscribe. Also leave in comments if you like this new style of the tutorial on doing with the camera and the screen shot. Thank you for watching this starburst tutorial again and have a good day, afternoon, evening or a night

Hello and welcome to the tutorial on Photoshop for beginners. In this tutorial you will learn the basics of Photoshop. It tutorial also guides you on how to create your own graphics and your web and print designs in Photoshop. All this is done in Photoshop CS3.

Hey what’s up? And welcome to first new series of video tutorials in which I am going to teach you the basic of Photoshop. And guide you to create your own graphics and your web and print designs in Photoshop. So let’s get ready for the first tutorial, first thing to note is that I am using CS3. Now CS3, the layout of CS3 is gonna be similar to CS2 and CS4 and in fact Photoshop CS it might be a little bit different in CS7 and Photoshop elements. Overall most of the features should be the same. So this tutorial is going to teach you about the basics of the layout of the workspace in the Photoshop and some of the tools.

When you first go in Photoshop some of the tools and all these toolbars might seem quiet daunting and confusing. But ones you learn more they do and ones you learn the layout everything will click, everything will go smoothly and you will be able to your work much faster and easier. So the first thing to know about Photoshop is the workspace is entirely customized. So over here is my histogram, I can drag that out. I can drag out the info, you can just click on the bar and drag it up, drag it round, drag it down wherever you want. And you can drag things back into place; you can drag things to the right, you can drag things underneath, you can drag things anywhere you want. And you can fully change your layout. You can expand the docs, you can compress the docs, you can do whatever you want. And you can also by clicking on the axis here delete toolbars and docs.

Unfortunately sometimes you might close the doc by accident, so there is couple of ways to bring that back. The first one it’s a click here on the window and here are all the docs you can have. So, if you accidentally close the brushes doc, you can click on the brushes doc and the brushes doc would come back straight back in here. Alternatively if you wanna get back to the workspace you started with, you can go to window them workspace then click default workspace or reset workspace. Another great thing to know about the Photoshop is you can change the workspace however you want and then you can click window, workspace, save workspace. And then you can save your workspace. So I will save as new workspace and then if I change out my workspace some more, if I change it a bit to list some things then I go window, workspace, I can get back to new workspace here. I would go back exactly how I had it.

So the first thing we are going to do is teach you about some of the menus. The menus are a lot similar to other micro windows programs such as word or power point, but there are some different features. So first of all you have your file toolbar and then there are new, open, browse, and open as, open recent, import and export, and there are also if you know on the right there is also some handy keyboard show cards. I want you to learn few of the handy keyboard show cards, it makes the work process a lot quicker. You go to your edit tools undo step back to step four to go back in another tutorial. Then you in your image toolbar where you can adjust the images, you can adjust the color, the saturation, you can pick select them layer. I mean you have your layer toolbar where you control all your layers. This is quiet complex toolbar; I will go in to this in another tutorial. You can have your select toolbar, I am not working all about selection so if you want to delete specific part of an image or if you want to select a specific part of an image, you can deselect it, you can reselect it, you can inverse that selection. So, select everything else apart from that selection and you can do a range of other cool stuff which you go in to.

Filter is another tool, great toolbar you can with filter you can apply almost any effect you can think of to your images. And you can get really really nice effects by using things like plus or sharpened, or you can use different effects like gloss gloss ripples and things like that to get a really nice and unique effect on your images. Then the analysis toolbar is the another toolbar for setting the measurement on a better point of your image. I mean you have the view toolbar which you can use to zoom in or zoom out on your image or you can click on the actual pixel pixels which will shoe the actual size of the image or the print size which is useful when you work with print design. And then off course you have got the window toolbar which I have already gone in to slightly where you can have your workspace and you can select the workspace and you can add different panels.

And then off course you have the help toolbar, so if there is anything that you are not sure of you can go there and you find all pretty much all the answers in there. So let’s create a new image, we will go to file, new or its ctrl N on a Pc or command N on a MAC. Now when you open a new document first of all you are confronted with new document toolbox. Now there are many different things to know first of all you choose the name, so we can write anything we want here so I am gonna call this new document. And then here this the preset box so there are many different presets that Photoshop has which are useful. So if you, if I select international paper I can then I get confronted with lots of sizes which are useful for print design. I can select photo and then I get different photo sizes. I can select a film and video and then I have got different film and video sizes Pal, NTSC, cineon and films that you can focate which are useful when you are creating elements for designing in films. And then we gonna then we have custom, so we are gonna choose web at the moment. Ammm if you notice here you can have any of these web styles 640 x 480 being the web video default size. And if you got to custom we can choose any size we want.

The next thing to know is the resolution box, if you are doing anything for web design or broadcast the resolution should be 72. However, if you are doing any thing in print design the minimum pixel per inch should be 300. Also with all of these you can change the units of the measurements so in few things if you wanted to do some things in print design you would change it to inches and then you would be able to type in say 8 and ½ inches just to go paper size. Well same is the color mode so you can choose whichever the type bitmap color, gray scale, RGB which is the web design color scheme, and CMYK which is cyan, magenta, yellow and k for black which is the print design color scheme.

And then off course you can have the lot of colors as well as but keeping it simple RGB color for a moment and then background contents this ammm doesn’t matter for something like print design, where the background is gonna be a white paper for instance. But it is always best to keep on transparent if you can so we go to transparent. And here we can see our advanced toolbars this just the color profile which is something I don’t thing we go in to in this tutorial. And then we have our pixel aspect ratio and if you are working with video or broadcast you would obviously go to TV or NTSC or PAL pixel aspects. But for the moment it’s just the square pixels. And then here on the right you can see the size that you are image will be and when you are ready just click ok and you will be confronted with your new document.

So that all for this tutorial and in the next tutorial we will through what to do with your new document and some of the tools you can use. Thanks until next time and good bye.

Hi there my name is George Peterson and today I am gonna be teaching you how to do a digital reflection. Ammm okay so what i have here have my image that’s a little bit slanted and I need to cut it out so I am not gonna spend the time to show you exactly how to go and do the pen tool and cut it all out. So it’s fine to say just go in pen tool around it create a 1 pixel feather selection and and then with some magic boom there it is right there.

Okay so what we want to here is we want to use our marquee tool and we want to right click layer via copy. Down here I am gonna go to the background layer and create a new layer and I will get my paint bucket out. And I want to make a background and I will just do white. Let’s do a white background so that’s get with our normal background. Ammm next I wanna create another layer and I wanna get that new layer right down here. And then next I wanna make a use our marquee tool and I wanna make a ammm horizon line where the the car sits on similar to you know the real one that we had in the original picture.
Ammm we are gonna use grey, hey giff you’re your paint bucket tool, fill that in there. Ctrl D deselects it ammm and then what I am gonna do I am gonna resize my car oops resize my car. And bring him over here to the left just a little too there. There so we have car sitting on a horizon line looking pretty good. So next what we wanna do is we want do we need a reflection for for the car, so what we wanna do is we wanna come down here and I like to drag drag the layer down make a copy of it. So now we have two layers I am gonna take the top layer and I am gonna go edit, transform, scale I am just gonna take it and flip it upside down. And really I mean you can pretty much eye baller just like you can see probably about right. Alright that is probably pretty close and then we can just adjust your capacity down. Six, 65 percent is too much we wanna go straight 45 percent, 45 percent ammm and we’ve got a pretty nice looking reflection going out there.

So next what we are gonna do we want to add a little bit more dimension by creating a shadow underneath a car. Now you can do like a pen tool or a shadow out like the actual shadow ammm but I think some times you run in problems with that would be something in the shadow that you don’t want to be in your image that could just throw it all off. What you wanna do is go in your main layer that has the car, right ctrl click and you are going to let’s make another selection of car. We are going to create a new layer and then we are gonna fill that with black. And then hit ctrl D and then so this is gonna be your shadow.

Now, what we are gonna do is a ctrl T for transform, we just wanna skew this down just like skewed clear clear clear clear down. And zoom in just a little bit so you can see all that and hit enter. And then let’s drag it out below the car so bang, the car has a shadow but that’s a pretty hard shadow. So we wanna we wanna make that we wanna blur that just a little bit. So just go to filter blur, Gaussian blur and lets go down here ammm you know like 5 pixels, 5 pixels may be a may be little bit less, may be like 3. Oh that looks pretty good so lets hit that and we wanna bring your capacity down of that just a little tiny bit down to just go 80 percent. So bang there we go we have, we have got a car with the reflection doesn’t look too bad.

There is still one more thing we can do just to add just little bit of realism to the to the images. So I am gonna create a new image I am gonna grab my marquee tool and I am gonna make it an elliptical marquee. And I just wanna make it a elliptical marquee that just kind of drags across the front of that image. And I like to like to keep a kind of about right there, you know just after bottom of the thing within your we are gonna create a line that goes right across that the reflection. And that is going to give us a nice mirrored effect. So after we do that we are going to grab our gradient tool and we want to hit DE for to give you defaults colors back view and we are actually gonna be going from white to white to transparent.

So, don’t wanna do that okay so now what we are gonna do is we are gonna drag it from bottom and boo ya first try and we got a really really nice soft gradient. Sometimes realistically ctrl Z you know try it a few times we just want a real subtle, a subtle line right there but look at that, that’s pretty dazing decent may be bring capacity down just a little tiny bit. And there we go we got a nice, nice digital reflection, the only thing that we have in there is a, is the car was the only thing that is original in that image including the shadows and stuff so. Anyway try that out, see everything and hopefully you learned something that you didn’t knew before.

hello and welcome to this video of Photoshop CS3. The video is about a tutorial that teaches how to make your pictures or photos look better just like paintings. The tutorial is easy to understand since it is for beginners so that they understand Photoshop.

Hello guys, today I am going to show you how to make this picture of Michael Jackson looks like a painting. Just like a painting it will be like a painting. Okay for that you must open up this picture for that, for opening this picture I will show you. Go to file and go to open and browse for the file where you put it. And click guy put it here select it and click open. And ammm it will open up and after it open up okay, now it opens up. Okay After it opened up go to file, we off course we are not doing the project in the same page. For that it will be all stuck if we do it in this same page.

So always open ammm after opening up a page like a picture like this go to file, new and ammm I put the width 1084, 780 and resolution 300, color on RBG, RGB and the background under white and 8 bit and pixels by edge and pixels pixels. I am gonna go and click ok and our page will load up. No coding no that’s why mbc looks like a this damn this look okay. Now the, ammm now the page just load up okay. Now select this picture this page with this picture and and select the move tool. The short cut I mean the shortcut key is “V” and click on the picture drag drag it to our page. This is our page and we have to drag it here okay then just have to release it. And we now have the picture of MJ in our new age and we don’t need this page this page any more.
Okay we don’t need it here big no so big we will loose space and all.

Okay now for its too damn big no ammm so we have to go have to edit and go to free transform. You see free transform over there and you just click on it. And for minimizing our page you have to go here and click on this and the page get magnified out and we have to position our picture like this, it should be nice. Okay, okay and up we go okay oh he is not that type no okay, I will take out this much and I am go and press enter. After pressing enter we go magnify in and now we have to add our filter that will make our MJ picture like a painting.
For that you have to go to the photo, go to going to the photo, go to sketch and you see, you will see graphics pen over here. Okay after selecting that the photo page will load up. You have to wait until the page load up and all and oh shit, know Michael Jackson is cool man.

Okay we have to adjust it any way. Okay oh this look ridiculous, increase the dark darks balance okay the darkness to 81 and stock length to 15 that will be perfect. And go ahead and click ok, and you will see our picture transforms to a Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson’s painting so much cool textures and filters. And we don’t really like this photo I mean we love this photo but something is missing; yeah we had to add some text so it will look nicer. And go ahead and click horizontal tag two, the shortcut key is “t” and go to page where you want to type and click there and you can type Michael, if I type Jackson the text will go out of the page. So, I will go and click on the move tool and I will move it here and take my text tool again and go here. You can see that now the the cursor is like this and when we go here see ammm now when this cursor comes we can continue typing from here and down the line type Jackson. Okay Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson that and for deselecting it we have to go to the move tool and press, click down there and we can position it, somewhat like this okay.

Okay its done it’s this and if you need any help on this video and all, just add a comment on I will seek it and see if I can help. Okay thanks for watching my video and please write an comment ok bye.

Hello everybody, want to learn how to create a reflective text effect in photoshop. If yes, you can watch this video. By watching this video, you can easily do cool reflective text effects in photoshop. With the simple to follow steps given in the video, you will learn it in less time.

Today, I am gonna show you cool reflective text effects you can do in Photoshop CS. So obviously, you have to make this, which is kind of mere reflective text effect. So, just go ahead and make a new document about new can be whatever size you want. So you say ok. Make your background black. And, go ahead and select your text tool and change the color. Now just click on text and precise it to your preference and now it’s perfect. Now you right click to layers made, go to duplicate layers and now you click ok. So go to edit, transform flip vertical.

Now you control and drag down to about an inch. And that’s sees pretty good. Now you go your eraser tool just click and I have rasterize the layer. Now select your brush to given this faded brushes from three hundred script size.

And now slowly you work the way out by erasing the part of the text. And ya you just carefully do this, perfect and let’s do this quickly because time purpose, sorry. So, let’s see its okay and go to blending options. Blending options there, you can set your capacity to about sixty percent and here and ya sixty percent and click ok.

So, you have successfully made your very own effective text effect on photoshop. Now am pretty sure you will work on real good versions of photoshop. Thank watching for me on tutorial at twitter.com/katanawill. This eoxzmedia at eoxzmedia.proboards.com, this is katana signing off and see you guys in next week

Easy to follow steps are given in this video to do it easily. Therefore, you just need to follow the steps and do according to that. You will surely enjoy this screencast.

Hey, guys welcome to Quifoo.com first screencast. Today I am going to be showing you how to do a simple tutorial on Adobe photoshop. This one will be simple may be on the whole I will be adding some more tensed ones, but since this is first screencast I am gonna be keeping it simple reflection tutorial. I am sure there are many other versions I have to do this it out there but this I how I do it. To avoid wasting some time I already added my text, my text is one hundred point pixels. So, my image is also three hundred fifty by five hundred widths. If you like to keep this dimensions but it is upto you, on how big your banner or logo or whatever this is, it is upto you.

So I have my text here I am using the Arial font as that is the basic font. You can also change your bevel, colors, stroke whatever you would like. I don’t really recommend using drop shadow as drop shadow is not blend in with your reflection. So here, you going to duplicate your layer the layer of text. My computer is going somewhat slow today so co-operating so trying to get this done as quickly as possible. So here, we go we duplicate our layer, click ok. Off course the layer names is not a matter at all. We go up to edit, transform, edit transform then click flip vertical should be right on top of your other text. Your first layer, select your duplicated layer of text and drag it down.

I prefer like you do not use letters such as P in your text, but it is possible as you have to move the P in a separate way then the others other letters because otherwise you will overlap and not look so much like a like a reflection. So, this Q I am just gonna live like this, I don’t want them to overlap so it messes up your reflection. Now to Rasterize Tape on your duplicated layer, the one that is up side down. So once you said edit, transform again, edit transform perspective, the reason that you change it to Rasterize it because you have to change your perspective know way you can do that by the rest you get to see it. So you change the height to ninety it is not matter whether or not you have a percent sign but changing it to ninety will do, or shrink it a little. So looks more like more of a reflection then it would and a font posing height you apply the changed relation. Now you have to move the text up little just to the tip of your last letter, may be depends on what letters you have touch just like your Q, the one that overlap the tip of your touch.

So, now there is no whole lot else to do besides may be you can have a wave of water if you want it to look like a water reflection. You can also change the color of the bottom one which I don’t, I do recommend it, but its upto you. You can also have it blend in your background, as it will look more like a reflection. But right here I am going to change the capacity as the time on this is not going to a. So, change it to about twenty-four percent. Here I am going to show how to make a blend in, so here we are on layer style on your duplicated text, and we have over a worst black to white. If you are using a transparent background, you can just make up back to mask to blend it into a transform. And here you see that we have a, we have new reflection and it is complete and if would like to add some more things to it. Thank you for watching the screencast by Quifoo.com.

With the help of this tutorial, you can easily save PSD files as a JPG. You only need to follow what the tutorial talks about. So here is the video that you can enjoy.

Welcome to the free site tutorial from TutorVid.com. This tutorial is going to quickly show you how to save image in JPEG if it is a Photoshop document or a tiff file in any other tiff file. Right now if you look here, you can see there this image is a Photoshop document. If you have a number of layers in your image, Photoshop will try and save it as a PSD file or a tiff file. So to save this as JPEG, you have to go to file, save as and then you know format here. Then try to save it as Photoshop or tiff, save it as JPEG and then that’s it quick save and then you have to quality saving that’s ok and you have done. Sometimes if Photoshop doesn’t give you that option for JPEG in a list, you could be using a 16-bit color mode and 8 bit. With that 8 bit, go to image mode, make sure 8 bit channel is selected and RGB also if you can save it as a JPEG. Has it to go more tutorials on TutorVid.com.

Today we are going to learn something about how to improve an imperfect photo at a professional level. This tutorial will exactly show you how to do that. It is very simple, and you need not to be an expert in photosho to do the same. Just follow the guidelines as mentioned in the following video and give a better finishing to a photo you wish.

So here is the video enjoy!

Hello again, just Richard Barley, a… I’m just going to give you a quick tip on converting to black and white and using curves. A… first we’ll go Image, Adjustment, Black and white.

Hi everyone, it’s Joe and today I am going to show you on Photoshop a…, how to a… improve or enhance a photo. Say for example I have got this picture of a… this elderly woman here and we are going try take a few years of her face. Don’t worry, it’s not me ha… ha… and ok, but let’s get started.

So you want to go on to a… the healing section on this and on left hand side and I am going to use the patch brush and basically I am going to go around this spot a… so it’s creates a selection. Click and drag and then Click and drag and drag it some where away you want to replace the same texture and then Photoshop will do the… do the rest. It will try and bundle the best it can.

As you can see here… there tried took a few of… of her wrinkles off her forehead and you can spend hours doing this a… a… to make someone look a lot younger or whatever, remove something from a photo. It’s got millions of pieces a… but this I find it the best to a… go off someone’s face and make her look a bit better. Ok, a… now you see she have pretty baddy eyes so if we go again, click and drag. Click and hold and select the area that you want to change the texture to and then drag… drag the texture to somewhere else and I am going to do for this eye, under this eye too.

And as I said I can spend ages doing this but I am not going to. Those also a… first option where you can click and drag and that will automatically try and fix a… the photo, whatever can. Try smooth it out or whatever and a… you can change the a… brushes, the top, whatever… all that stuff a… As you can see she looks a bit younger a… eyes all good, its three minutes work so you can also Alt choose the last setting on this… the second last setting and Alt click when you want color a… when you want the texture to change and click and drag and that’s will and that’s really useful tool.

Ok, a… if you have any a… tutorial suggestions for a… Photoshop or a… Vegas or anything else that you can think of that you want me to go over a… to make a tutorial of etc a… please write it in the comments. I… I am running out of ideas for tutorial Tuesday. Thanks, I am Joe and now…

If you have a faintest urge to learn Photoshop, you need to visit Lind.com and know a person Deke McClelland who is the best pro to teach you a thing or two in Photoshop. Even if you are working with Photoshop for quite some time, Deke McClelland will give you a tip or two which will help you immensely.

This video is on Photoshop CS4 smart objects. This will teach you how to edit, re purpose and crop your compositions without affecting a single pixel even in masks and practical advantages of non destructive transformations, which allows any object to be manipulated in any way maintaining its original pixel information.

Once you access all of Lind.com completely for free, stay tuned to the end, to the podcasts to find out how.

Welcome to the Lind.com video training podcast for Friday November 13, 2009. This is episode 188. This week learn to make non destructive transformations from smart objects and set of pixels. Video from Photoshop CS4: Smart objects with Deke McClelland.

Hi Garrick Chow here and this is the Lind.com video training podcast bringing you incredibly useful tips and tricks from our latest releases. And today we have the coup from the prolific Deke McClelland’s newest title Photoshop CS4 smart objects. In this tutorial Deke explores the creation and use of smart objects, one of the most technically demanding tools in Photoshop, but not to worry, Deke runs through the four primary processes of smart objects and focuses especially on one of the most practical advantages non destructive transformations, which allows any object to be manipulated in any way also maintaining it’s original pixel information. This tutorial is a must see for any Photoshop user who want to know how to edit, re purpose and crop their compositions without affecting a single pixel even in masks.

In the following clip from Photoshop CS4: Smart objects Deke explains the rewards of non destructive transformations.

I’m going to see my progresses two models down PST found inside the old one how they work folder and we have one version of the model rendered in pixels here and she’s been scaled down to 10% and then back up to 720%. The result is a 72% scaling. However because I applied it in two passes, we have a destructive modification. Now, we’ve got a smart object and an independent layer, the pixel are protected. We’re going to apply those exact, same transformations as before. And here’s how.

I make sure that my smart object layer is selected. Then I go on to the Edit menu and I’ll choose the Free Transform command or I could press Control T, Command T on the Mac and I can shift drag on of those corner handles in order to scale the image proportionally but instead just to make sure that we’re applying the exact, same modifications as before, I’m going to go up to my Options bar, turn on the Link icon and I’m going to change either the width or height value, doesn’t matter which one to 10% and then I’ll go ahead and except that numerical modification by pressing the Enter key or the Return key on the Mac and I’ll press Enter or Return again to escape the Free Transform Mode and apply the transformation.

And now zoom in on this tiny little version of the image. This is the exact same way she would look if I scale the pixels down to 10% because when you apply a single pass, a free transform; it’s no different whether you’ve applied the transformations to a pixel based image or a smart object layer. So we’re going to get the same result so far.

However, Photoshop is now aware of the original size of the image, so because the pixels are protected inside this smart object container all of the pixels are still there. That’s the difference. It’s been rendered on the fly at 10% so on the fly we’re just saying one out of every 100 pixels. One out of every ten horizontally, One out of every ten vertically. However, they are all there in the background and that makes a terrific difference.

Let’s now say that I press Control T or Command T again in order to once again invoke that free transform command. This time I go up to the Options bar and notice it’s not telling me width a 100%, height a 100% which is what it would tell me if I was working with pixels because that’s all know. It would now know that it got its dickey little thing that’s working with and it’s 100% of its size because you haven’t done anything to it yet.

In this case though it knows that its 10% of its former size because it still has all of those pixels working in the background. Now go ahead and turn on the Link icon. I could change its value to 720%. But if I do that, its going to look super dark and sharp, the reason being because it’s working from the 100% pixels. So its not taking the 10% pixels and making them 720% larger. It’s working from the original pixels.

So what we need to do is the math here. We need to take 720 divided by 10 that’s 72%. Notice that if I change the value to 72% we a get much more reasonably sized image here and I’ll go ahead and press the Enter key couple of times or a Return key a couple of times on the Mac in order to invoke that modification.

Now let’s zoom out a little bit so that we can see these images side by side. I’ll move her over so that she’s just sort of slightly cutting into the other one there. That is so the good one cutting into the bad one a little bit. I want to be able to see both of them. They’re exactly the same size.

So the up shot of this modification here was 10 times seven hundred twenty is seventy two percent. The problem is that the transformations did not concatenate and that wont concatenate means that Photoshop goes ahead and reconciles the math and figures out the final transformation value. That did not happen when we applied free transform in two separate passes to pixels but because we applied free transform still in two separate passes but to a smart object container here.

Photoshop went ahead and did the math and concatenated the values and figured out that 10% and then 720%, that is making the image larger will come out to 72% and as a result if I zoom in on this image also press Shift Tab to get rid of my palls, you can see that she looks great when transformed as a smart object and she looks terrible over here in the right hand side of the screen when rendered out in pixels. And that is the difference between a non destructive transformation and a destructive transformation here inside Photoshop.
