Photoshop Selective Colorization Pt.2
Welcome to another newdarkroom.com video tutorial. This week I am going to show you a technique that’s called selective colorization.
This technique is where you can make certain areas of your photo pop out and a little bit more. So what we are going to do is we are going to open up an image. Here we have a person sitting on some rocks staring out into the sea. What we want is the foreground and this person to stand out a little bit more than the rest of this image. So what we are going to do is go to image adjustments and then to desaturate. This will turn the image black and white but we don’t want everything black and white. We want this person and these rocks to stand out by giving them color so we are going to go over here to our history brush.

Here I am going to teach you a small technique. Using this you can highlight or colour certain parts of your photographs to make it stand out…now, isn’t that interesting? All you need to do is to follow this tutorial a couple of times until things are clear…with a little practice you can get this perfect.

Photo Restoration #1: An Introduction & Example Pt.3
Maybe little bit less than that and that will do ok. Alright so what I have here now is some picture I need to fix.
I am going to use my rubber stamp tool here and I am going to select a larger brush like maybe that size and then I am going to click up here in the corner and then I am going to start painting over here. So basically what I am painting scratches and all won’t be seen. See I got a little be of the shoulder in there and I can fix that. Alright now this will fix that here look at it again you’ll see there is a lot and I painted it out so basically all of these problem areas.

Ok look how cross the picture is. It is just so badly worn or torn or things smeared or written on that there is no light to display them nicely.
Um in this case there is a picture that my grand father that we came across and its one of the rare pictures of my grand father so what I want to do is I want to start by using my select tool my rectangle mark key and I’m going to drag an area around the couple. This will give me less area I have to correct and I’m going to go to image, crop ok and then what I think I will do here because there is all kinds of color things its kinda a hand colored picture .but anyway I’m going to go to image mode gray scale. Ok and that will help me to define my areas a little better.

And that’s a very quick way of moving something pretty quickly. Once that’s done and now we have a space in between the 2 locations, I’m gonna bring back up my layers palette so that you can see the 2 in here.
We need to create a quick mask on there and we’re going to add the gradient into that masks itself. So once I select the gradient mask, make sure I’m on a linear black and white. We’re gonna take this and we’re gonna drag from the bottom up. And that’s gonna give us that nice look. If it’s not exactly what you’re looking for you can always just move this down to get the perfect look that you want for that reflection.

925PhotoshopTips.com. Today we’re going to be showing you how to make the Web 2.0 graphics and it’s got that nice mirror reflection on the text that we create. So I’m just gonna use the text tool and add some text in here – ‘texy’ and once that’s done, we’re gonna ‘Ok’ that and we need to make a duplicate layer of that text layer.

Hey what’s up? Welcome to my newest short segment, where I will be showing some quick trips and tricks, all on hence both your work flow and designs you do in Photoshop.
So for this segment I have just a basic 1445 X 1018 project, and I have flat just a background gradient.
