De-Aging in Photoshop Pt.3
So we are going to select the patch tool and we are going to head over to his right eye. Whether it is his right eye or left eye and very simply just like the lasso tool we are going to drag out the area that we want to fix. Just like so and you will notice that we now have a selection.
All we have to do now is move our mouse inside the selection and click and drag to the smooth area on his skin or probably a similar luminosity and then let go. You will notice that now that area is now pretty smooth and the wrinkles are gone. Basically what it did, it took the area by dragging it on top of it and sampled it. And then it applies it on the top of the selected area and smoothes it out very nicely. Now it is not perfect so we can grab something like our clone stamp and just fix up the area that may not have nicely blended. And then we can grab our patch tool again and start getting rid of the areas like this.
And I suggest you doing it in very small chunks because if you grab a big chunk a big chunk of wrinkles and then drag it then you may not have room to drag it to a new area and it may not blend that nicely. So do it in small chunks it work a lot better in the long run. So just go around his face and get rid of wrinkles just like so. I am doing a very sloppy job obviously you would do a lot nicer. You can grab this clone stamp and fix the area that have looked or looking a little bit rough. And we can go up this area here fix this wrinkle. Drag it up. Very quickly fix this one. Head over to his left eye or to his right eye grab this drag it down…and it is very very simple. Now that one really did not worked out that great. You can drag it down here if you want to..
And it is looking a lot better. Obviously some areas need to be fixed with the clone stamp tool but if you look at the before and then our after there is definitely a huge difference in how he looks. He looks a lot younger and if we continue to go around his face and get rid of all the wrinkles and fix all the blemishes he will look a lot younger than he really is. And then you can go in and grab a hair brush and then smooth out his skin little bit up. There are many ways of smoothing down someone’s skin but I am here to focus on wrinkles make look somebody older in a pretty natural way. So we discuss the patch tool and we touch on the clone stamp tool in this tutorial.
The patch tool is great for getting rid of the small to some what big blemishes. So I hope you apply this to your projects and make your parents look young if you want. Does not insult them though don’t do that or you may get smacked. Ahhmm.. Anyways I hope you learned something.
