Adobe Photoshop CS3 Header Logo Tutorial
Hi friends, welcome to the site again. Today we are going to learn how to create website header logo using Photoshop CS3. This video will guide you through the entire technique and it will unveil some of easy tools that can also be used for other Photoshop CS3 purposes. Using Photoshop CS3 we can create different types of attractive website Header logo.
Hello, my name Collin, and today I will be teaching everyone, how to create a header logo for your website. First click on file, new, name here ‘logo’. Width set it to 900 pixels, height set it to 200 pixels. 72 inches per resolution. Color mode, RGB color at 8 bits, background consent ‘white’. And click ‘ok’. Next we want to zoom in toward logo so, press and hold the control key and then press ‘plus’ on you keypad. Now it’s at a hundred percent. Next what you want to do, is press and hold control – shift N. and the new layer box appears. And then, give your layer a name. So I am going to name this as ‘Logo’. Then what you wanna do next is, fill in the logo or fill in that logo. Click on the rectangular marquee tool and select it. Make sure feather is set to zero pixels. Style is to be ‘fixed’ size; width is 900 pixels and height 200 pixels. Then left click on your logo. And as you can see the dark line appears, right click within your rectangular logo and click on ‘fill’. And we want to choose a color, so choose color. For now, I am going to have zero zero zero zero zero zero zero and click ok.
As you can see, our rectangular is filled with black color. Next you want to deselect your rectangular so that the dotted lines disappear, press control D. And then after this, after that we want to add some style to it. so click on blending options. We would like to have a gradient, and then click in the gradient box. And then click on the first color stop, to our gradient color, pick the color of your choice. I am going to use C300A5. And then click on next color stop, and the next color I am using is, FE3DCA. Click ok, say accept. Now you want to name your gradient. So type in light pink to dark pink gradient and then click on new. And as you can see in the preset box, your new layer is created, and your new gradient is created. And click on ok to accept. Next, we are going to add a pattern overlay. So click on pattern. Take a pattern of your choice. For t his tutorial I am going to use, I am going to use this one. And then go back up to gradient, and set the opacity to, 90 percent. And as you can see the pattern overlay within the gradient layer. Make it look really neat. And then click ok to accept.
Next I will show you how to add a font to your logo. Click on the horizontal type tool. Make sure you have font selected, font size. For now, its going to be, 60. The outer edges of the font will be sharp. Font will be aligned to the left, and the font color will be white for now. Click over the logo and type whatever you like. And as you can see, if I use this scroll bar down here, I have typed in ‘Header Logo’. After that, right click on your header logo, choose blending options, and the layer style box appears. Make sure, for this tutorial; I am going to check drop shadow. I am giving it, distance at 3, and a size 15. And adding stroke, stroke would be 2 pixels, position is on the outside. The blend mode is going to be normal. Opacity is going to be 100%. And instead of using color pattern, I am going to use gradient pattern. And I am going to use gradient that I just created, and the style is set at linear, angle is 90, and the scale is at 100%. And click ok to accept.
The next I will be showing you how to align your text to your logo. Hold down the control key while your header logo is selected. Make sure its blue right here and then click on the logo. Then click on the move tool, and after that click on align vertical centers and align horizontal centers. And as you can see, here is my full logo, and it is aligned exactly in the middle.
