Cool Cloud Break Effect Using Photoshop Pt.3

February 6th, 2008 by admin in Photoshop Tutorials

You want to go to ‘Image’, sorry go to ‘Edit’, ‘Transform’, ‘Rotate Counter clockwise’ and then go into ‘filter’, ‘ stylize wind’ and from the right you just select ‘wind’ and hit ‘ok’. Then we want to go to ‘Edit’, ‘Transform’, ‘Rotate 90 degrees counter clockwise’.

Then we want to go into ‘Filter’, ‘Distorts’ and ‘power co ordinance’ and this time I want to select ‘rectangular to polar’ and then hit ‘ok’. And that gives us that effect there, before you go any further you want to change to ‘blending mode’ to ‘multiply’ or you can change it to ‘overlay’ depending on which one you think is the best.

Then we want to go into ‘filter’, ‘blur’ and ‘radial blur’ and then select an amount of say 10 to 20 depending on how big your image is and blur method zoom and quality good and then just hit ‘ok’. Then we want to create a layer mask. We click the mask button here and select our gradient tool and we want to use the option ‘radial gradient’, ‘mode difference’, opacity 100%.

Reverse-tick, ‘——- ticked, Transparency – ticked. So we’re just gonna drag from the centre to the corner there and then we’re going to click on the first layer and then we are going to ‘image’, ‘adjustments’, ‘hue and saturations’, tick ‘colorize’ and then adjust the saturation to what color you want. So that’s basically it. So I hope this has been of help to you. Thanks for watching.

In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
