Photos To Statues – Using Adobe Photoshop Pt.2

March 5th, 2008 by admin in Photoshop Tutorials

So what we’re going to learn today is how to create stone statues just like the one you are seeing in here.

So let’s get started. I’m going to change these to normal. Now the first thing you want to do is going to ‘image’, ‘adjustments’ and ‘desaturate’ for your stone image, to ‘image’, ‘adjustments’, ‘Desaturate’ for the picture. You can find these stone textures just by doing an image search on Google or I Stock Photos. Then we want to use our move tool to drag the stone over to here and then go into ‘edit’, ‘transform’ and then just drag that across so it takes up the entire picture.

Then we’re just going to give that a tick. Then we’ll go over here to the ‘blending mode’ and change it to ‘multiply’. And then we want to use the eraser tool while selecting the background layer and just have the flow pretty low using a soft brush.

Flow percentage probably of 17 or 15 and then just erase the eyes there, just like that.

In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again
