  1. Setting Photoshop Brushes for a Wacom Tablet

This is how you setup Photoshop to take advantage of the pressure sensitivity that’s built into your wacom tablet that’s either a Graphire or an Intuos.

All of the settings are set here in the brushes palette. It is generally up in the palette wall um.. the palette well um.. but I’ve dragged it down here so that you can see this easily. First one we’ll look at is shape dynamics. If you click on the name it selects it. And it gives you this control box. Its off right now. If i drop this down we will find this little selection called pen pressure.

And what that means is the harder you press the thicker the line gets. And this is how it works. With light pressure you get a thin line as I press harder it gets thicker and thicker up to the maximum size I’ve set for the brush. Ok! So that’s, that’s a fairly good one. You can use that in a lot of different places. So we’ll go to the next one. Take this one off. Other dynamics, other dynamics has the same control. I’ve got to drop this down and put on pen pressure.

This is part of a series of posts, you can read the rest of it by clicking on the links for the Table of Contents at the top of this post.
