Before you see a picture of I and my wife on the balcony of our stateroom on a sea going vessel as part of geek cruise’s photograph fling where a bunch of us get together and discuss photoshop for a week at sea while we go to many mysterious lands.
It’s actually a great time and it happens every February. So you should definitely check it out if you want to at www.geekcruises.com in case you’re curious. But, in any event the real idea here is that we were on the balcony and there was no one to take a picture of us together and I didn’t know how my auto timer worked, so I wanted to take a picture of Elisabeth by herself and then have her take a picture of me by myself, and we didn’t have a tripod or anything. I just went ahead and set the camera up on a table, and there in lies our predicament. The images though very similar don’t exactly align with each other, and we need to align them. And in the past, I’ve done this lesson where I show you how to align them manually. In this exercise, I’m going to show you how to align them automatically inside of Photoshop 3.
