Photoshop Tutorial – Changing the Background Pt.2

June 12th, 2008 by admin in Techniques

I am go over to my image and click in this kind of tool background color and as you can see that changes over here in the preview menu and i am gonna hit ok and once that finishes thinking all that color will be selected there you go.

Now hit command u which is the hue saturation command also in the edit menu and i am gonna grab this lightness slider and i am gonna pull up all to the right so all; that stuff selected complete white i am gonna hit ok. Now that looks great. i am gonna hit command D de select , the background looks good Steve looks crazy. so i am gonna hit my layer mask option over layers pallet and you could see a layer mask now. Now roll over to my brush tool which is already selected and make sure that my foreground colors are set to black, which in a layer mask deletes.

And i am gonna go over Steve’s face and am just gonna paint over his face to delete that burn out white layer. and as you can see it really doesn’t take a lot of time specially in a photo like this to remove the excess layer. and just with that quick couple of seconds here i am not gonna spend too much time on this just tutorial but a ya that’s it. really quick and easy way to fix. What am i do is may be I want some of the lightness added brightness at the bottom of his shirt there.

So i will go over here and make my brown color white and pull my opacity down to may be 40 percent and paint back on his short a little bit and on his beard. just a light lineup and there you have it so i just took a pretty blank photo from bad to better and obviously there is a bit i can do with editing saturation and some sharpness thing and make his eyes little bit brighter.

But thats a great start to make a regular photo just a little bit better. I hope you enjoy the tutorial and i hope you start back for visit www.geffiremires.blogspot.com.

In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.<>/b
