Photoshop tips – Change the Background
Hi friends, welcome back to Photoshopvids, the best site for Photoshop tutorials. Today we are going to learn a simple yet an useful lesson. This is about removing an unwanted background of a from a photo and replacing it with a new one. Its very easy and with Photoshop you can do that in minutes. You also dont need to be an expert on this. Following is a video that will show you the entire procedure of this technique. Lest see how to change the background of an image.
Today I will be showing you how to remove, I mean, how to remove or how to move this women in to a place that you like. And this will works in any Photoshop. I don’t know, if it is, if it doesn’t work in another Photoshop. I use CS2, so make sure that the pics that you want to move, have a blank background like this. So it supposed to be white color. You have to do that first, you have to make the background as white background like this. If you didn’t do that, it wont work. So you gonna double click on this layer, and just name it as anything you like. Or just leave it, I am going to name it as woman. For your info that this woman is not me. Of course, I just got this from internet, I don’t know anything about her. So click on a Ok. And now activate the pictures, that you want to move and click on this magic wand tool.
Now select the blank background, What am I doing right here. I am going to delete the background though. If you want to include something else to delete, just press shift and click on somewhere that you want to include, or to be erase. But this time I don’t have to. So now if the place that you like is already selected, now what you going to need is press, the delete button. So as you can see, now the background is removed or erased under the woman here. So we don’t have the background anymore. So I am going to this part, the move tool wand, click on that, and I am going to drag this woman in to the background that I have prepared. So, so it doesn’t looks good, right? Its too small, so I am going to make it bigger, or you can rotate it.
How did you do that? I am going to use, the free transform application. So what you going to do is press your control T. Now you can move, you can make it bigger, or as small as you want. You can make it bigger, you can make it small. May be I am going to make it like this, ok good. Now, as you can see I can rotate going by this way. You can see now my cursor is now changed, before it was like this. Now, it is like this, it means you can rotate it, see that? So with using free transform tool, you can make it bigger or smaller. So just press control T to do that. Control T and make it smaller or bigger. Or rotate it even, so that is how you that and make sure you click on an apply button after you rotate or make is smaller or make it bigger, So that how you do that, thanks for watching.
