Trick for the advanced use of Photoshop Auto corrections Pt.2

April 8th, 2008 by admin in Tips

In this tutorial, we’re going to see how to add um… auto correction on the image that have already a white point and a black point inside it. First thing to do is to add a new adjustment layer, levels.

You clicks on the… on the button options. We see that um… all the three auto correction does… doesn’t uh… have an effect on the image, because there is already the white and the black set. So take the rectangular uh… marquee tool and uh… make a selection on the interesting spots like the face or the dress. Uh then add a new adjustment layer, levels, as before, and see that if you click on options in this case, all the three corrections will work because the … there is not the space um… for the white, so it has to fill the histogram. We’ll now confirm it with ‘OK’. Uh see in the layers palette is the uh… um… layer mask for the adjustment layer.

Just drag it to the trash bin to the lady. Go to selection, color range, and in color range, just click on the uh…shirt, the white.
